Mrs. Thalia Vaught Best, age 54, wife of the late Billy Joe Best, passed away January 22, 2015, at the Medical University of South Carolina surrounded by her family. Mrs. Best was born October 4, 1960, a daughter of the late Jennings Orien and Shirley Doyle Vaught. She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church. Mrs. Best was a retired educator, having taught for over 30 years in Horry and Marion County Schools. Surviving Mrs. Best are one son, Doyle Jennings Best (Katherine) of Summerville, two daughters, Leah Hollifield (Jonathan) of Florence, Anna Phipps (Travis) of Aynor, one brother, Merlyn Vaught (Terri) of Galivants Ferry, one brother-in-law, Johnny Best (Mary Kitt) of Fork, one sister-in-law, Donna Best Bruton of Conway, three grandchildren, Rhys Hollifield, Zoe Hollifield, Jennings Best, one nephew, Tink Bruton, three nieces, Melissa Best Williamson (Gary), Bethea Best, Jenna Bruton, one great nephew, Jacob Williamson, one great niece, Reagan Williamson.
VisitationVisitation will be held Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Johnson Funeral Home from 4-6 PM.
Funeral ServicesFuneral services will be held at Rehoboth United Methodist Church 2:00PM Sunday, January 25, 2015, with the Rev. John Watts officiating.
BurialBurial will follow in the church cemetery.
