Mrs. Thelma Opal Dorsett, age 87 formally of Aynor, SC passed away March 27, 2025, at her residence. Mrs. Dorsett was born June 16, 1937, a daughter of the late William Goral Johnson and the late Thelma Graham Johnson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dorsett is also predeceased by one son and daughter-in-law: Barry LaFavor and his wife Joyce and two brothers: Jack D. Johnson and Billy Johnson. Before moving to Georgetown, SC Mrs. Dorsett lived in Aynor, SC where she served the Town of Aynor as the Town Clerk. She enjoyed puzzles and gardening in her yard. She is survived by one son: Ricky LaFavor; one daughter: Tamala Walter; four grandchildren: Katelyn Howard, Tyler Baker (Jennifer), Brock LaFavor (Jamie) and Corde LaFavor (Elaine); ten great grandchildren; honorary sister: Ann Gore; honorary daughter: Tammy Hoye and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family that she loved dearly. Private graveside service will be held at Aynor Cemetery. The family will announce a Celebration of Life service to be held in the future.
