Mr. Thomas John Cornell, age 75, of Aynor, passed away February 24, 2022 at Conway Medical Center.  Mr. Cornell was the husband of Mrs. Catherine "Cathy" Baker Cornell and born the son of the late Paul Cornell and Marguerite Murray Cornell Donnelly.  Mr. Cornell was a Vietnam Veteran, serving two tours of duty for the Marines.  He was a member of The Marine Corp League and had a passion for playing golf.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Wesley Cornell and Thomas Shannahan; one daughter: Adele Leggens; four grandchildren: Sydney McPherson, Zowie McPherson, Myles McPherson, and Mason McPherson; and two brothers: Paul Cornell and Danny Cornell.  A memorial service for Mr. Thomas Cornell will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Don Hopkins officiating.  If you plan on attending the service, please remember to follow all CDC guidelines for social distancing and mask wearing
