Mrs. Velma Ree H. Doyle, age 92, wife of the late Charlie Z. Doyle, passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Grand Strand Medical Center. Born March 13, 1934, in Horry County, she was the daughter of the late Isaac M. and Alma Hardwick. She is also predeceased by one daughter, Jackie Olivia Lee; one brother, Thomas Hardwick; three sisters, Margaret Faile, Emelean Allen, and Wilma Ree Johnson; and a special aunt, Nell Hardwick. Mrs. Doyle retired from Jerry Cox Company after 47 years as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Juniper Bay Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Doyle are her two sons, Charlie Z. "Ski" Doyle, Jr. (Trisha) and Wylie McNeil "Neil" Doyle (Mellonie); son-in-law, Timothy Marsall Lee, Sr., five grandchildren, Timothy Marshall Lee, Jr. (Ginger), April Singleton (Mark), Dock Doyle (Courtney), Mac Doyle (Dani) and Lindsay Doyle; eight great grandchildren, Gracie Lee, Trey Lee, Mark Randall Singleton, Luke Singleton, Zoe Doyle, Adley Doyle, Owen Doyle, and Ava Doyle; one brother, Isaac Hardwick (Barrie); three sisters, Myrtle Faile (Don), Helen Grooms, and Linda Tyler; two sister-in-law, Sara Hardwick and Carolyn Doyle; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 2:00 – 2:45 at Juniper Bay Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow in the sanctuary beginning at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jonathan Vandermark, Rev. Tommy Hardee, and Luke Singleton officiating. Burial will follow at Berea Baptist Church Cemetery.
