Verna Mae Thompkins, age 86, wife of the late Mayo Herman Thompkins, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Thompkins was born in Galivants Ferry, SC a daughter of the late Isaac Graier and Dessie Rogers Richardson. She was a very active member of Rehobeth Baptist Church where she was a member of church choir and loved to sing. She was pre-deceased by three sisters: Elbertine Brown, Mildred Martin and Miriam Gasque. Surviving are a son: Larry Herman Thompkins and wife, Patricia Ann of Summerville, SC; daughter: Brenda Gail Smith of Galivants Ferry; brother: Ray Richardson of Galivants Ferry; four sisters: Della Blackman and husband, Gerald and Betty Baxley and husband, Joe all of Galivants Ferry; Carol Chestnut and husband, Dale and Jenny Hardwick and husband, John all of Conway; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

SERVICES Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Rehobeth Baptist Church.

BURIAL

Burial will follow in the church cemetery, directed by Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor.

VISITATION

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home.
