Mrs. Wanda Causey, age 78, of Aynor, passed away Friday, October 23, 2026, at her residence with her loved ones by her side. Born on October 4, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Reverend Hope Rabon and Louise Lupo Rabon. Her faith was foundational from her early years, instilling in her an unshakable belief in the power of prayer and a deep love for her church family, whom she cherished as her own. She was a woman of elegance, deep faith, and boundless love for her family. Blessed with extraordinary talents and an unyielding spirit, she lived a life rooted in her trust in God and her devotion to those she held dear. Always dressed to the nines—with her lipstick on, makeup done, and an undeniable eye for style—she loved her shoes and pocketbooks. She taught her girls and grandchildren the beauty of excellent manners, etiquette, and class. She was a gifted creator: an amazing cook, seamstress, painter, decorator, designer, and singer. Above all, Mrs. Wanda loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with a fierce, driving love—a devotion so strong that it often made her 78-year-old body perform with the energy and vigor of a 30-year-old. Her home was filled with love and the companionable presence of her cherished animals: Charles Henry, her constant companion and protector, and her cat, Rooster, her nightly lap buddy, who watched videos on her tablet and playfully swiped the screen with his paw. Mrs. Wanda was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband of nearly 50 years, Jackie Causey; her parents, Reverend Hope and Louise Rabon; and her siblings, Colene Taylor, Lila Smith, O'Berle "Tom" Rabon, and HB Rabon.
Her legacy of love, faith, and grace continues through her family: Children, Melissa Lane (Randy), Christy Woodle (Cary), and Nikole Carmichael (Jimmy); grandchildren, Erica Martin (Nate), Conner Woodle (Chelsa), Lauryn Woodle, McRae Carmichael, and Josie Carmichael; great-grandchildren, Jaxx and Lilly; siblings, Sylvia Graham of Aynor, SC, and Mike Rabon of Warsaw, NC; special sister-in-law, Judy Causey; along with many cherished nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a heritage of grace, warmth, laughter, and an enduring prayer for all who loved her. The family will receive friends Monday, October 26, 2026, at Langston Baptist Church from 1 – 1:45 PM. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, October 26, 2026, at Langston Baptist Church, with Rev. Brandon Blair officiating. Burial will follow at Bakers Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
