Whitney Michele Goodson, 34, passed away June 26, 2019 in Cincinnati, Ohio surrounded by her family.  Whitney was the daughter of Donna and Michael Goodson and sister of Peyton Goodson.  Whitney and her family had been living in Cincinnati for the last ten months while she received cancer treatment.  Prior to her illness, Whitney was a resident of Park Circle in Charleston, South Carolina and was the Director of Active Day of the Low Country Center in Goose Creek, South Carolina.  Whitney graduated from Coastal Carolina with a degree in Psychology, a career path that allowed her to help others as this was her passion.   Even during her treatment at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Whitney was able to continue her passion of helping others by organizing a collection drive for the children in the oncology unit for Valentine's Day and Easter.  Family members, friends, and churches from her hometown of Aynor/Conway made the endeavor a huge success by donating items for the children.  Her compassion and drive to help the children at the hospital made an indelible impact on all those she came in contact with during her time at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

MEMORIAL SERVICE

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home located at 290 Ninth Avenue, Aynor, South Carolina at 4:00 p.m.

VISITATION

The family will receive friends following the service.
