Mrs. Catherine A. Hardwick, wife of the late Fred B. Hardwick, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 14, 1929 a daughter of the late Jasper and Eitha Graham Allen. Mrs. Hardwick was a member of Berea Baptist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Hardwick was predeceased by one brother: Hamp Allen, and four sisters: Elma Turner, Dora Johnson, Yvonne Kay, and Velma Page. Mrs. Hardwick is survived by her four sons: Nelson Hardwick (Marty), Bishop Hardwick (Susan), Edward Hardwick (Jackie), and Horace Hardwick (Lora), her grandchildren: Nada Couture (Mike), Ira Hardwick (Amanda), Melissa Welch (James), Holly Willis (Jay), Natalie Rao (Jason), Mary Bishop Hardwick, Garth Squires (Heather), and Seth Squires, fourteen great grandchildren: Katie Couture, Madeleine Couture, Olivia Couture, Jackson Hardwick, Hayes Hardwick, Merritt Welch, Marshall Welch, Porter Rao, Scarlet Rao, Judson Willis, Ethan Willis, Caleb Squires, Hudson Squires, and Hayden Squires, two brothers: Quince Allen, J.E. Allen, and five sisters, Gertrude Smith, Barbara Smith, Betty Elvis, Evelyn McDonald, and Erline Hardwick. Mrs. Hardwick’s family would like to especially thank Mrs. Erline Hardwick, Judy Hardwick, and Garnette Miles for everything that they have done during this time.
VISITATION
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday December 22, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor.
FUNERAL SERVICE
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday December 23, 2018 at Berea Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny Jenerette and Rev. Larry Allen officiating.
BURIAL
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
