Christine P. Dowless

Mrs. Christine P. Dowless, age 81, wife of Mr. Charles Lynn Dowless Sr., passed away November 27, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Dowless was born November 17, 1940 a daughter of the late Troy and Georgia Mae Graham Fowler. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dowless was predeceased by one step son, Charles Lynn Dowless Jr. and one granddaughter, Amanda Prevatte.  She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Dowless retired as a seamstress from Anvil Knitwear. She loved her flowers and working in her yard. Mrs. Dowless was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her family laughing and joking.  In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dowless is survived by two sons: Jimmy Raymond Prevatte (Wendy), Dewey Dean Prevatte (Lori Ann); two daughters: Agnes Clara Gandy (Darrell), Teresa Ann Norris (Keith); ten grandchildren: April Gandy, Darrell Gandy Jr., Candice Prevatte (Maxwell), Brianna Sellers, Andy Elliott, Jonathan Elliott, Keith Norris, Kyle Robert Norris, Lakland Prevatte, Madison Gerrald; five great grandchildren: Brock Elliott, Jaida Elliott, Savannah Elliott, Eli Thompkins, Brooklyn Elliott; two brothers: Wendell Fowler, Randall Fowler; and two sisters: Ernestine Rabon and Juanita Blanton. Funeral services for Mrs. Dowless will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Maxie Hardee and Rev. Rusty McAlister officiating. Burial will follow at Happy Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-1:45 prior to the service Tuesday.
