Fannie Owens Smith

Ms. Fannie Owens Smith, age 88, wife of the late Charles “Doug” Smith passed away February 26, 2023, at McLeod Hospice House with her loving family by her side. Ms. Smith was born August 18, 1934, a daughter of the late Robert and Prudence Harrelson Owens. In addition to her parents, Ms. Smith was also predeceased by one son in law: Tommy Graham; three brothers: Francis Owens, Fulton Owens and Vernie Lee Owens; and four sisters: Dorothy Thompson, Josephine Skipper, Winnie Hunt and Helen Roberts. She is a former member of Aynor First Baptist Church and a current member of Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church in Florence, SC. Ms. Smith is survived by five children: Glen Smith (Joyce), Sharon Graham, Waylon Smith (Betty), Regina Kirby (Jeff) and Rebecca Keim (Clay); nine grandchildren: Ginny Smith, Hope Crane (Jeff), Shelley Rholetter (Jason), Tre Graham (Carrie), Waylon “W.J.” Smith, Brandi Gammell (Doug), Bryan Cook (Shandy), Sarah Keim, Stephen Keim; ten great grandchildren: Dalton Robinson (Brittany), Gracey Robinson, Isabel Crane, Alex Rholetter, Maddie Rholetter, Connor Graham, Carsyn Graham, Camron Graham, Mary Ellen Cook and Will Cook; one great-great grandchild: Navy Kate Robinson; two step great-great grandchildren: Easton and Karter; one brother: Billy Owens (Rosalee) and one sister: Geraldine Owens Page (Larry). Funeral services for Ms. Smith will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church in Florence, SC with the Rev. Greg Batchelor officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00-10:45 AM. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM at Aynor Cemetery in Aynor, SC.
