Gerald Squires Obituary

Mr. Gerald Squires, age 68 of Albert Gasque Road passed away February 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness. Mr. Squires was born October 21, 1955, a son of the late Colie and Thelma Rabon Gasque Squires. He was a member of the Aynor First Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as a deacon and head of missions. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Squires was predeceased by his wife, Darlene Allen Squires and an infant sister, Hilda Gasque. Mr. Squires is survived by one son: Timothy Squires; one daughter: Amanda Squires Alford and her husband Chase; two grandchildren: Taylor Squires and Coley Alford; one brother: Stanton Squires; and one sister: JoAnn Gasque. Mrs. Amanda and Mr. Timothy would like to express their sincere appreciation to Mr. Squires' brother and sister for all their help, love and care that they have shown to them and to their brother. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Charles DuBose officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church fellowship hall. Memorials can be made in Mr. Squires' memory to Aynor First Pentecostal Holiness Church Missions, PO Box 567 Ave. Aynor, SC 29511.
