Ms. Jean L. Jennings Jordan Mauger passed away February 18, 2021 at her residence in Galivants Ferry, SC. Born May 7, 1939 in Cohoes, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward P. and Alice Brenn Jennings. Jean graduated from Cohoes High School and Mildred Elly Secretarial School. She worked for NYS Employment, Mental Health and Alcoholism Depts. and retired from Albany Co. Mental Health. For many years she volunteered working bingo at Cohoes-Waterford Elks, American Legion #309, Holy Cross Church along with Coach House and Carlyn Estates MHP. She had a deep passion for creating items with knitting needles or a crochet hook which have been donated to various veteran organizations and Manatee County Meals on Wheels. Jean is survived by her son: Timothy (Nancy) Jordan of Galivants Ferry, SC.; grandsons: Tim (Kristen) and Jon Jordan of Schenectady, NY; great-granddaughters: Olivia and Londyn; siblings: Bette (Gerry) Hamilton Scanlon, Hazel Howansky (Bob Suhanosky) of Palmetto, Fl and Sandra (Tom) Carter of Ashfield, MA and their families. She was predeceased by her husband: Ted Mauger; son: George Walter Jordan; and sister Alice Ziemke of Troy, NY. Her cremains will be placed with her late husband, Mr. George Walter Jordan, in Greenwich, NY at a later date.
