Jessamine (Mother Jess) Roberts Richardson

Mrs. Jessamine (Mother Jess) Roberts Richardson, age 88, of Aynor passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Conway Medical Center following an extended illness.  Mrs. Richardson was the wife of the late Grover B. Richardson and daughter of the late Julius Cicero and Annie Thompkins Roberts.  In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by two sisters: Myrna Loy Murphy and Mary Frances Roberts.  Mrs. Jessamine was a member of Aynor Church of God.  She enjoyed reading her Bible, working in her yard, and traveling to the mountains with her church family.  Mrs. Richardson is survived by her two sons: Darrell Richardson (Edie Barnhill Richardson) and Brian Richardson (Phyllis Tyler Richardson) both of Aynor; one grandson: Cecil Erik Barnhill of Galivants Ferry; two great grandchildren: Maddie Grace Barnhill and Brayden Floyd; and her beloved cat; Walker.  The family would like to send thanks to all her care givers and her dear friends, Cyndie Ross and Joe Orlandi for all the care they gave Mrs. Jessamine.  Visitation for Mrs. Richardson will be held Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Aynor Church of God.  A funeral service will follow, beginning at 3:00 PM at Aynor Church of God with Rev. Timothy Julian and Rev. Steven Tyler officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
