Lois E DuBose

Mrs. Lois E. DuBose, age 92, wife of the late Charles L. DuBose, passed away June 30, 2020 at Anderson Oaks Assisted Living.  Mrs. DuBose was born March 18, 1928, a daughter of the late Robert Edward Lee Lewis and the late Lois Elease Timmons Lewis.  In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. DuBose was predeceased by a son in law, Tommy Bruton. Mrs. DuBose attended Winthrop College and the University of South Carolina.  She retired from Horry County Schools in 1991.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Mrs. DuBose enjoyed spending time with her family, her beloved dogs, and working in her yard.  She is survived by two sons: Scott DuBose (Debbie) of Aynor, Rev. Charles L. DuBose (Libby) of Johnsonville; two daughters: Linda Shelley (Roland) of Charleston and Alice Bruton of Conway; two brothers: Lynnwood Lewis of Myrtle Beach and Bobby Edward Lee Lewis of North Myrtle Beach; one sister: Claudette Rebecca Hatchell of Myrtle Beach; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.  Memorials can be made in Mrs. DuBose’s memory to All 4 Paws, 708 Petigru Drive Pawleys Island, SC 29585.  A private graveside service will be held.
