Sara R Roberts

Mrs. Sara R. Roberts, age 73, wife of Mr. Franklin “Jennings” L. Roberts, passed away at her residence December 13, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Roberts was born January 27, 1947 a daughter of the late John Hezekiah Reynolds Jr. and the late Velma Thompkins Reynolds.  Mrs. Roberts was predeceased by two sisters, Peggy R. Martin and Josephine Thompkins.  She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Roberts loved sewing, quilting, and gardening.  The joy of her life was her husband, children, and grandchildren.  Mrs. Roberts said that she was at peace while she was sick, but when she witnessed her husband get saved, she was ready.  In addition to her husband, Mrs. Roberts is survived by one son: Franklin Dean Roberts (Melissa); one daughter: Jennifer Brown (Dayton); three grandchildren: Chelsea Roberts, Mackenzie Roberts, and Hallie Brown all of Galivants Ferry; and one brother:  Rev. Robert Lewis (Sylvia) of Aynor.  Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at her residence, 6519 Gunters Island Road Galivants Ferry, SC 29544.  Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Lewis and Rev. Ragsdale Allsbrook officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Liver Foundation, PO Box 299 West orange, NJ 07052.  Please remember to follow all social distancing guidelines and face mask must be worn to attend the visitation and the funeral.
